You’ll get access to shifts before others, and be secure in the knowledge that there is always work available. This is a great opportunity for those not wanting to be confined by the standard Monday to Friday work week. Bureau work is ideal for those working around commitments, such as study or family, and the best part is that you will receive all of the entitlements of a permanent employee but on a casual on-call basis. ROLES AVAILABLE
Being a Registered Nurse with the Care Direct gives you the opportunity to experience a wide variety of work across multiple disciplines and locations. We support all of our nurses with professional development programs, free training opportunities and you receive unrivalled support from our placement coordinators. We have nurses who have been working with us for over 15 years and they couldn’t be happier!
We are always looking for new nurses to join our team and we have shifts available to suit all backgrounds - Aged Care facilities, Public and Private Hospitals (surgical nursing), Rehab facilities, Hospices and Palliative care.
To join our great team you will need to have the following:
A current NZ practising certificate (APC)
A minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Registered Nurse in New Zealand
Be focused on providing high quality care
Experience in either Aged Care, Public and Private Hospitals, or hospices
The ability to write care plans and other documentation
A love of working with residents, families and other care staff
The ability to work with and lead a care team
Sound assessment skills
Flexibility in your hours – including mornings, afternoons and weekends
Reliable transport
Good written and verbal communication skills

To join our great team you will need to have the following:
The ability to work on a flexible weekend roster
Long term availability (we like to ensure continuity with our staff and clients)
A minimum of six months previous experience as an in-home Health Care Assistant/Career or experience at Hospital and/or rest home level of care
Attained a Nat. Cert in Health, Disability and Aged Support level 2 or higher or be prepared to study towards this qualification (provided by Care Direct)
A current Full Drivers License and reliable transport
The ability to undertake a NZ Police vetting check
Compassion and genuine joy to assist the elderly and people living with different abilities on a daily basis
Honesty, reliability and integrity
